Steve is the UK Leader for IBM's Asset Management Practice. He has over 25 years experience assisting asset intensive businesses (Private and Public Sector) significantly improve their operational performance and business processes through transformational change programmes, business insight and exploitation of technology. He has worked across a wide range of sectors: Energy & Utilities, Facilities Management, Aerospace & Defence, Chemicals & Petroleum, Pharmaceuticals, Civil Government, Posts, Health and Transportation.
Following his first degree in Natural Sciences at Cambridge University, he moved through a series of technical and managerial posts with ICI where he turned-around operational and financial performance and implemented significant organisational change. He is a Chartered Electrical Engineer and gained his MBA in 1991.
Under IBM’s global Smarter Planet initiative, Steve and his team are assisting clients with practical solutions for exploiting smarter assets, infrastructure and buildings, and how this can lead to improved utilisation, more intelligent decision making, reduced costs and lower carbon emissions.
